Beyond What Feels Good, Back To What Is Good

What I learned is that change can’t happen unless you’re willing to start. I would find myself moments like these just sitting and hoping for change to happen in my life when a I have to do is make a choice. My past has been a roller coaster of ups and downs in my life, based on the choices I made in life. The choices I make will determine change. As for this upcoming season in life, I am surrounded by light (people) who I know can help me through this journey. Choice can represent change, so like I said earlier.
Beyond What Feels Good, Back To What Is Good.

“Footsteps of Guidance”

I believe there are times where we feel that we are walking on the perfect path and nothing can separate us from it, without realizing that what is with us in our path is actually holding us back more than helping us to move forward. These kind of things affect other areas in our life, even the people around us… Seems to be not so perfect after all – and in order to get what is perfect, we must let go of what we currently have.
But how could something so perfect be so damaging to ones life? Is there really anything out there that could be more perfect?
This is the point where you have to make a choice to let go and allow Faith to guide you through the circumstance. Therefore, I want to tell you, thank you, but I’m sorry i’m choosing to walk away and follow the “Footsteps of Guidance” through this journey.

First Friday Experience

Last night I went to First Friday's in town.  It was an interesting experience knowing that I used to do this in my beginning years of college.  I never realized how much the whole even and club scene changed.  I remember back in the day, First Fridays' events never existed.  I would go to clubs like NoBless, Xylohs, Olounge and so on.  A lot of these clubs either closed down or had a name change due to legal situations.  I must say a lot has changed including how rowdy these new places can get.  Overall, it was a good experience what the night life has become.

April Fool's Day

April 1st...April 1st... April Fool's Day....  Today is known for the day of coming up with jokes and pranks.  Many times we do it to our friends or family members and possibly even coworkers.  Honestly,  I don't know the reasoning or origin of why this day or act exists for this specific day.  Unless I do know about it and just forgot why it is.

It's crazy how sometimes jokes and pranks can start of as fun and laughs until it crosses the line.  I believe sometimes people take it to far or possibly play games they can't handle.  When people play games they can't handle, it slightly ticks me off because I don't understand how someone can tease someone with a joke, but when it's their turn to get teased, they can't handle it and try to escalate it with some type of drama.  Sorry about the slight rant, but hopefully everyone has a great April Fool's Day.

Last Week Sunday

Last week sunday was my dad's birthday.  I must say times has changed from when I wouldn't buy anything for my dad on his birthday.  For a few years now, I have been buying him gifts for every birthday.  It would be nothing to expensive, but something simple that he could use on the daily basis.  I guess it also comes in time that I am more financially stable than previous years.

Spring Break

So as of right now, Spring Break is done.  I believe many people our still on Spring Break mode because when I came to UH of Manoa parking lot, it was really empty.  Maybe people are still recovering from Spring Break shenanigans.  I think it is pretty epic to see the change from when I was a bit younger, I used to do the same like miss the day before a break or miss the first day after the break because I would switch off my school mode.  This was my lifestyle when I first joined college, so with all honestly, I don't blame these students for doing that.  I know I'm a bit older now and a nontraditional student, so therefore, its been a good amount of years when I used to be obessed with Spring break shenanigans.

Inventory

So recently or should I say Sunday night, I had inventory for the retail store I worked at.  Usually, I prepare myself for working about 6 hours because normally it takes that long.  As we were doing inventory, we noticed that our team kept up and was over prepared to the company that came in who would scan every single item in the store.  It seemed like a pretty chill night, but afterawhile we started to get impatient and irritated because the scanning team assigned to our store took forever to scan all these items.  From 6 hours it became 9 hours and I was pretty furious that it took that long.  Our store is the smallest compare to the other Zumiez stores on the island who also had inventory the same night.  The fact is that I got mad because we took double the amount of time all the other stores did and it was like 7 am in the morning and I definitely wasn't going to make it to my classes on Monday.   Before I could careless about going to school, but I would have to say within this past year I've been on it with going to class and applying what I learn in classes to outside of life.  This is pretty much a rant post, so I apologize for that.  Other than that I was proud of my staff for working hard and being on top of things.
